Kenny holds a degree in Criminal Justice and is a former business owner born and raised in Rochester, NY. After selling off the business, he moved south to North Carolina, seeking a career in law enforcement and a similar business venture in a warmer climate. Upon arrival, by chance, he entered the Insurance & Financial Services industry in 2006.

Kenny then joined New York Life in the Raleigh General Office in 2008 as a TEA Agent. The plan was fast track to a management position. While company Executive Council1 requirements were met, Kenny, his wife, and then 1 year old daughter, Lainee, relocated back to Rochester, NY in late 2009 to be closer to their family. Shortly thereafter, he joined the management team as a Partner in the Finger Lakes General Office.

Kenny qualified as a New York Life Top 50 Partner in 2012 and 2013. In June 2014, qualified for Senior Partner, and before the ink was dry, promoted to the Managing Partner position of the Northeastern PA General Office. In a little over 4 years the office was awarded 4 National Trophies in 2015, (View From the Top, Management Development, Agent Growth and New Organization Retention); a Record 7 National Trophies in 2016, (President’s Trophy, Agent Growth, New Organization Sales, Life Award of Excellence, Life Case Rate, Life and Long Term Sales); officially grew to a Tier 3 General Office in 2017 for the first time in history!

In 2018, Kenny was promoted to Pittsburgh-Johnstown. Since arrival in Pittsburgh, the office was awarded three National Trophies in 2019, (Management Development, Life Case Rate and Mutual Funds). Kenny, his wife, Katie, three children, Lainee, Jameson, and Jackson are excited to be a part of the community and continued growth of the Pittsburgh-Johnstown General Office.

Jake began his career working in the insurance field with State Farm after graduating from Slippery Rock University in December 2013. After working with State Farm for a year and a half, Jake traded in his khakis for a new start with New York Life. He triggered his full-time contract June 2015.

After making New York Life Executive Council1 in 2016 and 2017, Jake decided to transfer to the Partner role in February 2018. Graduating from the Associate Partner Program in August 2018, he now takes pride in helping further the vision of the Pittsburgh-Johnstown General Office by recruiting and developing talented individuals at New York Life. In 2020, Jake was awarded the Partner of the Year award in the Pittsburgh-Johnstown General Office!

Although achieving Executive Council twice and being promoted to the management team were certainly achievements, the accomplishment that Jake is most proud of during his tenure with New York Life was being nominated as a “Volunteer for Good” in September 2019. He believes that “people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care”, and being recognized by his peers for service to others is something that means a great deal to him personally.

David Bush is a Partner with New York Life in the Pittsburgh office. He began his New York Life career in 2016. Prior to joining New York Life, David had 13 years of industry experience working primarily in Private Banking and Wealth Management. He currently holds his PA Life, Accident & Health License along with FINRA Series 7, 65 & 24.

David is a proud University of Pittsburgh alum, graduating with a degree in Finance. He further continued his education and earned his MBA from Seton Hill University. He currently resides in Latrobe, PA with his wife, Beth, and their three daughters.

Prior to coming to New York Life, Brian "Hank" Hankinson was the owner and operator of Fitness Factory II in Forrest Hills, Pa. After several years of ownership, Hank decided he wanted to leave the inside of a gym and take on a more client-facing role with New York Life. Soon after coming on board, he learned the requirements for Management and knew right away that was the route he wanted to take. Afterall, as a strong case rate writer (130 total cases, 98 of which were life) with a passion for helping and coaching people, Management seemed an ideal fit. Hank achieved this goal when, just 18 months after triggering his Agent’s contract, he attained his second consecutive New York Life Executive Council1 (2018 and 2019) and joined the Associate Partner Program. In his first year as Partner, Hank won the 2019 Partner of the Year award in the Pittsburgh Office and the coveted View from the Top award! Hank, like many New York Life Agents, was recruited to New York Life by one of our very own agents, Kim Francette, and is certainly happy he was!

Forrest is originally from Bradford, PA. After graduating from the University for Pittsburgh, he joined New York Life as an agent in September 2016. Forrest earned New York Life Executive Council1 in 2017 and 2018 and Quality Council1 in 2019 and was promoted to management in August 2019.

Jenna has both a Chemical Engineering degree as well as an MBA. Before her career with New York Life, she worked in South Korea in the Human Resources department for LG Chem and was a branch manager at Coreana Co. Her family immigrated to the United States in 2010 to follow her husband's PhD post-doctorate years. Jenna spent her time in Oregon as a substitute teacher for a public school district as well as working for NHHAY, Inc.

After her family moved from Oregon to Pennsylvania, Jenna joined New York Life as an agent in 2017. She acheived Executive Council1 in 2018 and 2019 then moved into the Associate Partner program in 2020. She was promoted to Partner in 2021. Jenna is bilingual, speaking both Korean and English, and is looking to hire high goal setters and persistent individuals. She is devoted to growing together to help them succeed!

Jenna has two children and enjoys playing tennis and piano, as well as camping with her family.

David Rees began his New York Life career in 2005. As a Career Agent in the Greater New York General Office, he was a qualifying member of MDRT2 in 2010 and 2013, New York Life Presidents Council1 in 2009, and Executive Council1 2007-2008 and 2010-2014.

In 2014, David was promoted to Sales Development Manager in the Pittsburgh-Johnstown General Office. David lives in Franklin Park, PA with his family.

Erick was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with degrees in Mathematics and Economics, he joined New York Life in February 2016. He quickly acheived success earning Executive Council1 in 2017 and 2018, as well as Quality Council1 in 2019. A consistent case writer, he earned the New York Life LifeStars AllStar for 2019. He completed his Retirement Income Certified Professional® designation with the American College in October 2019.

Outside of work, Erick enjoys golfing, playing soccer and hockey, and fishing.

Mike began his career with New York Life in 1992 as a career sales agent in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In 1993 he entered the Administrative Management Training program in Chicago, IL. Mike completed the rotational training program in 1995 and was appointed the Administrative Manager in the Pittsburgh General Office. Over his tenure as Administrative Manager in Pittsburgh Mike has assumed additional responsibilities leading to his appointment as a Corporate Vice President in the Life and Annuity New Business Department.

Mike and his team are responsible for all administrative and service functions within the Pittsburgh-Johnstown General Office. Mike has been recognized as the regional manager of the year in 1998, 2002, 2006, and 2007 during his tenure in Pittsburgh.

Mike earned his Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Economics from South Dakota State University and his Master's Degree in Business Administration from the Katz School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh. Mike holds CLU and ChFC designations from the American College as well as FLMI and ACS designations from the Life Office Management Association.

Bill joined New York Life in 2006 as the Agency Standards Consultant for the Pittsburgh-Johnstown General Office. He helps agents and management navigate the rules and standards of the financial services industry.

Bill has worked in the financial services industry for 38 years in a variety of capacities - public accountant, financial analyst, benefits consultant and standards officer. He earned his B.S. in Accounting from The Pennsylvania State University and his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School Of Business. He holds licenses for FINRA Series 7, 24, 53, 63 and 65 registrations.
